1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including when you create an account, subscribe to a plan, or contact us for support. This includes: name and email address, payment information (processed securely via Stripe), usage data and preferences, and competitor data you configure for monitoring.

We also automatically collect certain technical information when you use SignalCart, including IP addresses, browser type and version, pages visited, and actions taken within the platform.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to: provide, maintain, and improve SignalCart; process transactions and send related information; send technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support messages; respond to your comments and questions; analyze usage patterns and improve our services; and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information to third parties without your consent, except as described in this policy.

3. Data We Monitor on Your Behalf

SignalCart monitors publicly available information on competitor Shopify stores, including product listings, pricing, inventory status, and collections. This data is processed solely to provide you with competitive intelligence and is not shared with other customers or third parties.

We retain this monitoring data for the period specified in your plan (7 days to unlimited, depending on tier). You may request deletion of your monitoring data at any time.

4. Information Sharing

We may share your information with: service providers who perform services on our behalf (hosting, payment processing, email delivery); business partners with your consent; and law enforcement or other third parties when required by law or to protect rights and safety.

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS 1.3) for all data in transit and AES-256 encryption for data at rest.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Monitoring data retention depends on your plan tier. After account deletion, we delete or anonymize your data within 30 days, except where longer retention is required by law.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to: access personal information we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; object to processing; data portability; and withdrawal of consent.

7. Cookies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track activity on our service and hold certain information. Cookies are small data files placed on your device. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent.

We use session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) and persistent cookies (remain on your device for a set period) for authentication, preferences, and analytics.

8. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you within 72 hours as required by applicable law.

9. Children's Privacy

SignalCart is not directed to individuals under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. For material changes, we will notify you via email or a prominent notice on our platform.
